Die Alltech World Equestrian Games in Kentucky 2010....
The new season at the CSI** Ebreichsdorf 2010
Our Youngsters show their qualities.....Kam McDonald and three of our Youngsters in perfect condition at the CSI**Ebreichsdorf 2010!
Our newly acquainted rider at OBORA Stables, Kam McDonald, settled down very nicely here and she was thrown right in at the deep end at the difficult CSI** Magna Racino, Ebreichsdorf near Vienna, Austria.
It was the first competition this year for the horses as well as for the rider and the Youngsters, Obora's Gabor and Obora's Fiesta, had not seen a competition like that before.....
Taking all this into account the results are very promising for the future, as even experienced horses are quite excited and slip at the beginning of the jumping season...
Not so Fiesta and Gabor... In the eight jumping competitions both starters together had only three knock-downs, Fiesta jumped four clears in five competitions, Gabor jumped three clears in five competitions...flowers, spectators, water jumps, hustle and bustle...no problem for these Youngsters....
The six year old Le Tot de Semilly son, Obora's Liquide, enjoyed tremendous success in Ebreichsdorf. At his first competition ever he could show his potential in a fantastic clear round: there was even half a meter over each obstacle... what a fantastic result!
Thanks to our new rider Kam McDonald and her big success at the beginning of the new jumping season we are looking forward to the competiions to come.....just go on like this!
A new dream come true!
Hans Frischeis and the stallion Tamerino succeed in portugal
In the prestigious CSI**** Comporta in Portugal, Hans Frischeis and 10 year old stallion "Tamerino" showed great strength.
The stallion had double 0 in 6 classes with his new rider Hans Frischeis and the difficulty of the parkour proved to be no problem in the Grand Prix. While Hans Frischeis and his new horse was adjusting under the jumping, they collected a timefault in the first round and two in the second round, but this was enough to place them as number 5 in the Grand Prix...
We will see and hear more from this successful couple in the future and the ambition is to make it to the qualification round for the World Championship in Kentucky 2010...

A big thank you to Peter Nidetzky and his team for organizing this great sporting tournament. It was very informative and we look forward to welcoming everybody to next years event at the Obora stand.

WE DID NOT HAVE TO WAIT FOR A LONG TIME ….
… until we could report more good news about Dr. Georg Hladik and his 6 year old Obora’s Partano. The two showed up at the competition in Mistelbach, Lower Austria, in dazzling condition. By having a clear round they achieved a 4th place in the main jumping examination on Sunday, a jumping competition in the class S.

BRIEFLY TOGETHER AND ALREADY SUCCESSFULL
With her horse Obora’s Lukas Michaela Wollinger reached the outstanding 4th place in the Championship of Wiener Neustadt, Lower Austria, as well as the 4th place in the Viennese National Championship.
By having only 0.5 time faults in the qualification for the Casino GP at the CSN-A Wolfsberg, Carinthia, the couple could reach a satisfying 12th place.
THE FIRST PUBLIC ENTRY FOR OBORA’S ACOLYTE II
The 5- year -old son of the stallion Alexander der Große introduced himself at Reuhof, Lower Austria, with two clear rounds.
Josef Schwarz Jun. and Obora's Carmen stated really good rounds in the youngster tour...
The 7-year-old mould mare Obora’s Carmen, descending from Corsar-Carthago Z x Vicher-10, impressed with a competent performance at the CSI in Farrach, Styria. They finished the first and second circuit without mistake but had to accept a single jumping fault in the final 3rd round.
Great performance of our youngster
The 5- year- old Obora’s Garcia, a Griseldi x Grey Poupon offspring, appeared in good condition during the tournament in Markgrafneusiedl, Lower Austria.
In the classes for young horses up to 1.20m he achieved a fabulous 2nd and 3rd place.
Timpex Cabale is back!
It is a tradition for Hans Frischeis to participate in the perfectly organized and so beautifully situated CSI** and CSI*** Cortina d'Ampezzo competition.
This year was a special situation for the horse, because "Timpex Cabale" celebrated his comeback. The horse regained his good jumping ability and was able to finish a fantastic round in the Grand Prix with only one fault on 11th place. It is extraordinary considering the fact that he had to undergo a difficult tooth operation only three weeks ago.
Another horse was also very successful: "Extra Terrestrial". Being only seven years old, this newcomer was so careful and quick that he was able to win the final round of seven year old horses. A wonderful success, taking into consideration that his first competition was only this February and now he is already taking part in an international competition. What will the future bring?
Obora's newly acquired horse, the 10 year old Darco off-spring called "Piedro del'eau" showed an excellent performance with some promising rounds in the Grand Tour ....
International success for Dr. Hladik and Obora's Partano
Another weekend of success for Dr. Georg Hladik and his six year old, OBORA Stables bred, Partano. He competed in the CSI-Linz, Upper Austria, and succeeded in several competitions ...
This horse can be clearly regarded as one of the most amazing horses owned by Dr. Hladik, not to forget "Rapetti", who competed successfully in many national and international show-jumping competitions and was able to finish in second place in the Casino Grand Prix ...
Edison and Susanne Jurkovic are unbeatable in CSN Linz...
We are very proud to be able to report on the tremendous success of another OBORA Stables-bred horse ...
The gelding "Edison" rode to victory in the Grand Prix in Linz-Ebelsberg! This horse, presented by OBORA stables, an off-spring of an Esprit son, is a very special horse, because his mother "Angelina" is well-known among the Austrian show-jumping scene: as partner of Michaela Zechner this mare won bronze medal in the Junior European Championship and enjoyed several Grand Prix victories.
Like takes after like ...
Because now her son won his first Grand Prix, thus continuing the successful breeding of OBORA Stables ...
We congratulate Susanne Jurkovic and Edison!
Two victories in the 1.30 cm classes for Extra Terrestrial at the CSN-B Ebreichsdorf
It's Thursday, May the 21st: Extremely hot temperatures at the CSN-A Ebreichsdorf. The complete riding elite tries to reach the best time of Hans Frischeis and Extra Terrestrial. 160 participants chase them. However, nobody can get near them...Only Anton-Martin Bauer comes near to the best time, but in the end, he has to settle for the second place...
On Saturday Extra Terrestial and Hans Frischeis win again, with 1.8 seconds ahead of all the other competitors....Fantastic!!
This rider/ horse team will certainly bring home some more successes this year.....Keep going!
Wiena- T successful in Markgrafneusiedl
It is always a great pleasure for us at OBORA Stables to be able to promote young riders with suitable horses. One of the best examples to show that rider and horse can grow up together is Valerie Wick and her OBORA Stables-bred, seven year old mare "Wiena-T". Coming from the pony sports competitions, Valerie began to find happiness on the back of "big" horses. It seems that this has turned out to be a huge success ...as the partnership Valerie Wick/"Wiena-T" was able to ride to victory in a 130cm round - quite an effort both for rider and horse!
Taking into account that this was their first LM competition together, their fellow competitors will have to try very hard to keep up with this successful team ..
We wish Valerie Wick and her OBORA mare "Wiena-T" a successful show-jumping season and we will certainly report on any victories in the future ...
Success at competition in CSN-B Markgrafneusiedl
Our sportshorses started very successfully into the new season. At the competition CSN- C Markgrafneusiedl the horse Obora' s Nike won the young horses competition with 8,2 points....
Valerie Wick won the Grand Prix with the horse Wiena- T.
A perfect start into the new competition season, the horses are in very good shape....
Gestüt Obora goes Equitana 2009
The OBORA participation on the occasion of the Equitana 2009 in Essen/ Germany was a big success. We were able to present not only the stables and the horses for sale, but also the breeding and the future possibilities...
22 performances and presentations were successfully completed, the young horses made a very good job and showed their future options....
Although we had some tyre problems on the journey to Essen, the horses arrived at the Equitana arena just in time. Then everything went smoothly: the horses presented themselves very nicely, we got acquainted with many interesting and important people, we met old friends from Austria, and we got into business contact with our new distribution partners...
Finally, after coming home and starting our daily routine, the entire Obora Team is looking forward to Equitana 2011, where we will present ourselves even more spectacular and innovative...!!!
